Taste Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura’s gastronomy is another wonderful way to discover the island. Traditional cuisine is simple, authentic and closely connected to local ingredients, with fresh fish, seafood and goat’s meat among its most characteristic flavours.

One of its greatest treasures is Majorero cheese, made primarily from the milk of the native Majorera goat and protected by a Designation of Origin. You can enjoy it fresh, semi-cured or cured, on its own or accompanied by local mojo sauce.

Other Canarian specialities include papas arrugadas with red or green mojo, gofio and traditional island dishes. Corralejo also offers an excellent variety of restaurants, from local seafood and Canarian cuisine to modern and international options—ideal for discovering new flavours throughout your stay.

Beaches to discover

Fuerteventura is famous for its long stretches of sand, turquoise waters and unspoilt coastal landscapes. Close to Corralejo, you can enjoy the white-sand beaches of the Natural Park, peaceful coves and easy access to the sea as part of your everyday life. Further south, Cofete Beach reveals a completely different side of the island. Located in the Jandía Peninsula, this spectacular wild beach extends for around 12 kilometres between the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains. Its remote setting and powerful scenery make it one of Fuerteventura’s most impressive natural treasures. The sea can be rough, so Cofete is better suited to walking and enjoying the landscape than swimming.
